Product Clinical Overview
Picmegfin Suspension is an oral liquid formulation combining an osmotic saline laxative (Milk of Magnesia), a contact stimulant laxative (Sodium Picosulphate), and an emollient stool lubricant (Liquid Paraffin). Indicated for the short-term clinical relief of acute constipation and bowel evacuation prior to diagnostic or surgical procedures.

Pharmacological Mechanism of Action
Magnesium Hydroxide retains water osmotically within the bowel lumen, increasing luminal volume. Sodium Picosulphate is converted by colonic bacteria into the active metabolite bis-(p-hydroxyphenyl)-pyridyl-2-methane, which stimulates colonic mucosa. Liquid Paraffin lubricates the intestinal tract.

Adults: 15 to 30 ml at bedtime with half a glass of water, or as advised by a Physician. Shake well before use.
