Product Clinical Overview
Dualmont-LC is a fixed-dose oral combination of Levocetirizine Hydrochloride, a selective second-generation histamine H1-receptor antagonist, and Montelukast Sodium, an orally active cysteinyl leukotriene receptor antagonist. Indicated for the symptomatic management of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and comorbid upper respiratory allergic manifestations.

Pharmacological Mechanism of Action
Levocetirizine competitively blocks peripheral H1 receptors on effector cells, inhibiting histamine-mediated vascular permeability and smooth muscle contraction. Montelukast binds with high affinity to CysLT1 receptors in respiratory tissues, blocking leukotriene-induced bronchoconstriction and airway edema.
